May's Ustream Class Project

I can not wait for summer! I wanted to get in the mood by making this Tiki Bar Mini Album which is our project for May. It will look great next to your vintage camper.

When my sisters and I were younger I have fond memories of this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMigXnXMhQ4
Oh how many laughs we would have singing it. If one of us started "Day-Oh" then we would all start singing as loud as we could. How our parents could stand it I have no idea.
I can remember playing Limbo in the rumpus room, I also remember not being that flexible LOL. So throw  a little Harry Belafonte on the 45 er...I-pod...and build this little mini album with us, Saturday, May 18th. on our Ustream channel www.ustream.tv/channel/scrappycampersisters

Sorry for the mix up with the templates

I do not know what happened with Scribd, It mixed up the tv template with the camper, and anyone who knows me will understand how frustrating this is for me. I will look into tomorrow afternoon.  In the meantime I will email the templates to you tomorrow if you leave me your email address. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

I know, 10 a.m. I AM barely awake, but we can keep you company while you are sippin' on coffee in pj's.

We are making the Retro TV and we are using the TV Dinner paper by Cosmo Cricket. If you have it in your stash you will now be able to use it up or any other retro paper for that matter, I still have the SEI paper line Be Bop, I haven't used yet LOL.

Sneak Peak of our upcoming project...

..... for our ScrappyCamperSisters Ustream show. Darcie has been creating an album that reflects a piece of our childhood, our Dad.Our father was in the television industry and we have so many great memories, we grew up with television. I remember waiting all week for Saturday mornings and spending the time on my parents bed watching cartoons.  I came across a photo of me, I look so happy and care-free as I leaped into the world of Bugs Bunny and H.R. Pufnstuf, http://youtu.be/obxfuFrUTzg

Here is a pic of the mini album we will be making Saturday, April 27th , 10 a.m. EST.

She had to lay it flat for the pic because the legs were not dry, that is why they do not look even.  But isn't it the Cutest Thing? Even if did she use a picture of what she calls the "Original 3" watching T.V. before me and our little brother, hahaha. But look how sweet my parents looked together! I love how they are holding hands and so laid back enjoying their kids.

So dig out those childhood pictures of family times and days gone by and join us for our show, and shhhh it is Darcie's birthday that Saturday so come with your party hats on!

I will be posting the supply list on Wednesday and a template will be available soon for digital download..

Camp on!

Tutorials are finished and here are the links

You can download, for free, the tutorial for the Vintage Camper Here and the Vintage Kleenex Box Tutorial Here. If you have any questions just post a comment below and I will get back with you and see if I can help.

I would only ask that you would use these for your own personal use and not sell them or replicate them in anyway, (FYI, my sister works for one of the largest copyright/patent attorney firms in the world) but please feel free to link our blog and leave a comment, we need the encouragement!

Also I would like to announce that we are having a new Ustream class on Saturday April 27th at 10 a.m. EST, new project and we will be filming from Darcie's studio, better get it lookin' spiffy sis (wink)

Now last night I did an impromptu Ustream show making a birthday card for my big brother here is a picture.

I used Heidi Swapp's new travel paper and a paper doll from the April 1946 issue of Wee Wisdom, I think it came out cute, thanks for hanging out with me late last night!

Keep on Scrappy Camping!

I am back from my wonderful trip to Dominica

Now it is back to the crafting table, but first I have to share some pictures to inspire you to create summer layouts. This is my island, I lead a  missions trip here every year and I have done so for the past 6 years. It is such a beautiful island and the people here even more so. I just have a Samsung point and shoot, digital pocket camera and the photos have not been edited at all. It really is this beautiful. The hummingbirds were everywhere so I was excited to get the shot of one by our breakfast table one morning.

I am waiting on my sister, Darcie, to finish up the project for Saturday April 27th Ustream Class so I can post a photo and a supply list. I can hardly wait for you to see it!

Happy Birthday To Me ...Tim Holtz 12 Tags 2013

My birthday was actually Sunday but I woke up this morning and checked out Mr. Holtz's Blog and saw the loveliest tag, so inspiration hit and I had to try the patina technique. May I say, I love the Distress Paint! I did a little tag in honor of my birthday on the 31st, hence the 3 instead of the 4 that he showed on his tag.

I made a little jute tassel and hung a feather and fragment charm of the month March from his new ring fasteners. Added some Tattered Floral flowers and Grungeboard elements. After painting the key I used Crackle Accents on it and I fussy cut out the girl which I stamped with Archival Jet Black on Kraft Glassine.
I die cut the TH Alterations Pediment out of glassine also and placed it as a topper to the tag, nice crowning touch.

I suggest you hop over to his blog www.timholtz.com and play along. Hope you enjoyed my take on his tag.
