Sneak Peak of New Mini

Hey guys! I am switching things up for the class on Saturday May 18th on Ustream. I decided that it would be better if we made this now ----

and save the Tiki Bar for June.  The Vintage Shoe Shine Kit Mini Album would make a great Father's Day gift so I wanted to leave time for people to make it before Father's Day.  I will be putting up a supply list tomorrow so check back.

Tim Holtz May Tag 2013

Okay seriously, Tim Holtz' Remant rubbings are the best out there! I kinda gave up on rub-ons. I used to think it was me but then I started finding out other people were having the same challenges, until Mr. Holtz posted his May Tag Challenge  I had picked up a pack to try them out, since his products are very high quality, why not? Well let me tell you these are not your 1995 rub-ons, his has some body to them, a nice finish and they actually come off the backing paper with out having to rub for 10 minutes and then only get parts of it. I highly recommend you give them a try!

So here is the tag I made for a woman who won the Adirondack Refillable Pen on our Ustream show:
I used the Texture Fades to emboss a #10 Ranger Black Tag, then attached it with the Tiny Attacher to the sign hanger die cut from Grunge board.  from the holes I hung the #8 tag with jump rings so she could still use the underside of the tag for hidden journaling.
I used a little Rock Candy Distress Stickles to add a little sparkle to the chandelier stamp that I hung off the bird on a wire stamped image.
I did not have any of the TH enamel tags so I had to get a little creative and make my own. Using a fragment, paint it white with TH Distress Paint, Picket Fence, wait until it is completely dry!!! Then take Black Soot Distress Paint, swipe edge of fragment and wait for that to completely dry!! Then rub on the Remnant you want to put on your tag and cover with Glossy Accents. When dry attach with a fastener.
I stamped a few more images from some of his Stamper's Anonymous stamps (I put birds on it because I actually made this on "Put A Bird On It" Day). Oh yeah, I also added a clock to the sign holder and attached the spinners with a fastener.

Hope you enjoyed seeing my tag as much as I had fun making it. I hope the recipient likes it! Go visit http://timholtz.com/12-tags-of-2013-may/ and definitely give the Remnant Rubbings a try!

Awesome Day of "Dylusional" Playing

Today I was here
 Taking a class with
And making this and so much more!
I loved all the spraying, doodling and collage. I learned so much in these two days and it was a  really special time to get to know the person behind the art as she shared her story with us. Dyan Reavely, I thank you!
These colors are so vibrant, a lot like our pages we have been making the last days. I loved all the little plantings around the shopping center, the hues are amazing! Make something colorful today and send it to someone special!

Off to Another Fun Day with Dyan!

It is 6:30 in the morning, ugh, my take on the whole morning thing is that if God intended us to wake up early he would have made the sun come up earlier! I try not to wake up before the sun if at all possible, however, this morning is special!

I went yesterday to She Scrapbooks and took 2 classes with Dyan Reavely and her Ranger Dylusions line. I must say she is an awesome teacher! I learned so much and lots of cool techniques using her stencils, sprays and stamps. Yes you heard right stamps. Anyone who knows me knows I am stamp challenged, so NO surprise when I messed up my first border!! Who knew you had to pay attention to the pattern on the stamp!!! Oh well fortunately we got to slap a collage person with a "broken neck" on that page so it was all good.

She was so gracious to sign my ScrappyCamperSisters apron and also do a shout out to a "special friend". Now my sister Darcie is mad at me for this one, kinda like when you only do a shout out to your mom and not dad when you get on television.

I better get going so I am not late for class, She loves anything vintage so I made this flower using a vintage brooch from my stash and made a background flower for it on satin sprayed with Dylusions sprays. I hope she likes it! I gave her a vintage coat button for an option if she wants to take the pin off the flower.

I will post more tonight when I get back, have a great day and Be Creative!
