Thrift Store Thursday

3 weeks ago on a past post I showed pictures of my thrift store haul. I found this white leather photo album it was 50 cents. I loved the size and the fact that it had a 1 inch wide spine.
On the inside is a waterfall of 4x6 page protectors. Two years back, I started collecting Peerless Watercolors. If you are not familiar with them they are some type of fiber paper filled with luscious pigment, yummy in my opinion. Well they needed a home and I found that this photo album would be perfect.

I replaced the paper inside with watercolor paper then began adhering the squares of watercolor down.

I made labels of each color using my Dymo labelmaker and papertape, then put a swish of each color underneath the square.

February 23rd I did a Ustream show on our channel if you want to see how I did it.
I dressed up the book with some water colored dyed seam binding ribbon and I am so happy with this little book, I can take it with me and  it is an easy grab off the shelf. A water color brush and I am good to go.

Repurpose something today will ya?!
