Free February Gift

I was prodded by a friend who likes my handwriting to make a PDF of handwritten words so she could print them out and use them on her projects because she doesn't like her hand writing. I never realized how many people do not like their hand writing.
So here is the PDF to use in whatever machine you have or if you have a Brother Scan n Cut, here is the FCM file February Words. You can put it on an USBflash drive and put it right into your Scan n Cut or open it in Scan n Cut canvas.
I had fun using it as a stencil. I used the Show Off Stencil Sheets which are sized to 8x10 so if you use this cut file be aware that it is for an 8x10 piece of stencil or paper. I also cut the words out of paper and used them on cards and my other projects. You can use the cut out words as masks too.

If you cut out the stencil using Show Off Stencil Sheets with the Brother Scan n Cut use the blade setting 12 and cut pressure 4. I will be posting some tags and cards using the masks made from this stencil throughout February. If you end up using it please post it with the hashtag #scrappycampersisters so we can see your creations :)

We will not be streaming Saturday the 7th we will be streaming on February 14th at 10 a.m. EST on our Ustream Channel. The project is so adorable that is all I can say!!!

Free Download, Week Tip In For Documented Life

Anyone who follows me on Twitter knows that I am a huge fan of the Original Documented Life Project. Here is a link, highly recommend you check it out!

Last year I had the pleasure of taking a class with the lovely and talented Lorraine Bell, here is a link if you want to read about it, one of the artists from the group. We created a cover for the Dyan Reavely Art Journal and I never got around to using it. When they announced they were offering the class again and using the larger of the 2 journals I opted to use the smaller one since I want to be able to take it with me in my purse.

I kept the week tip in idea from last year, I love the thought of keeping it all in one book, journal, planner and arting on pages. I made this little week tip in to add to my planner for the month of February. I printed it out on watercolor paper so I can add some splashes of color depending on what the DLP challenge is for the week. I kept it simple so I can doodle or stamp or whatever.

If you like it too, here is a PDF you can download for free. It is sized for the bigger journal but you can resize for any journal you may have.

Enjoy, XX J

12 Tags of 2015 January Tag

So I stole a few minutes and ran into my craft room because I have been waiting 23 days to try out Tim Holtz' techniques that he did on his January Tag challenge.

I had to use a few different items but that wasn't the point of trying to make the tag. I love learning all the different ways I can use the Distress line. Especially since I own most of it. My challenge to myself this year is to use my stash. I gave myself  5 challenges to complete this year and using my stash is one of them. Next year my challenge I guess will be replenishing my stash LOL!
Now I challenge you, go try this tag out, I loved making the base of the tag, I made several to use later.

The Altered Phone Mini Album

Today I wanted to get caught up on all the projects looming over my head. The altered phone mini album from our January stream was one of those projects. So today I got out this fun Pink Paislee paper and then I added magnets to the back of the speaker from the handset of the phone and I hung it on the side of my filing cabinet.  Look how cute it is!

Trying to stay on top of things and have fun while doing it, that's my goal for this year!

CHA or Bust

I love January! Crisp air, clean house, I took all of the Christmas decor down and cleaned my house only issue is all my Christmas boxes are in my garage and not in the storage closet :/ Oh well I will leave it for when I get back.

We are going to be streaming Monday from the CHA floor, We have a different set up since last year so hopefully the video will be better. Not sure what time so just set yourself up to check our Twitter feed ScrappyCamperSisters for all the up to date pics and live video streams: www.ustream.tv/channel/scrappycampersisters

Trying to pack light this trip so I can scoot through the airport, however, it is amazing how much I need for 4 days, urrgghh.  I am trying to pack a small suitcase inside a larger empty one because last year I did come back with a bunch of stuff from the show. Not that you can shop but you get to do a lot of make n takes and each vendor gives you catalogues.

I am all bundled up, it may be Florida but it still gets cold, temperatures dipped down last night, wind was whipping and I pulled out the flannels :)

Today I was working in my Documented Life Project 2015 Journal www.art5academy.com  I finished my first page, Be Your Own Goal Keeper. I used a door and quote from an old calendar and I just love this project if you haven't heard of Documented Life just click on the link above and check it out. Last year I kept up all year and I am so glad I did, I think it is the first art journal/journal I actually completed!  I loved being able to go back and flip through it. I can not believe what all I did and what I  went through last year. It was not an easy year but somehow I managed to do a lot of fun things despite. CHA 2014 Anaheim, missions trip to Dominica, The Longest Yard Sale, Steampunk Soiree, Camping Art Retreat, just to name a few.

So here's to a great year ahead, full of inspiration, creativity, exploring and new adventures. Making new friends, developing deeper relationships with the friends I already have and just plain having fun  are my goals this year, Last year was just too serious of a year, This year Girls Just Wanna Have Fu-un kinda year.

It's all about living a life poured out!

Hugs, J

Please follow us on Ustream and click "get notifications" here www.ustream.tv/channel/scrappycampersisters  you will not want to miss a minute of the excitement.

Don't you just love that you can have a portable house when you own a camper! I love that idea! It's like a getting to decorate a Barbie house but in real life size. Darcie bought me the cutest trailer salt and pepper shakers for Zippee for Christmas and I have been working on some custom pillows for the bed/couch to make Zippee even cozier. Next camping trip is Anastasia Island for me. It is a beautiful oceanside state park. Can't wait I got new flamingo party lights and I scored pink string lights 70 percent off at Hobby Lobby to hang from tree to tree at my camp site.  Pretty soon I am going to need a trailer to tow behind my trailer with all the stuff I need to set up my glampsite!
